As we stand on the threshold of the first Month of a New Year, it is uncertain what lies beyond this fabulous new open doorway.
Another year, of umpteen millions of opportunities, the potential is boundless, and transcendent!
And so, if we and as we, release fears, doubts, limitations, this is impossible, miser mentalities and expectations; we create and open up an internal space for favour: for boundless ever resplendent dynamics of the I AM I™ light, to light the path ahead.
Let’s endeavour to be a spark of light, of hope and consolation, for the dark and troubled areas of our cities, streets, lane, byways and footpaths.
Patrollers give back. They give their time, and offer their skills, without a charge, and can be seen out on your streets in all types of weather conditions. The benefits are rewarding and worth it. “If we can make a difference for even one person,” says one patroller.
And that is what it is really about, the willingness to help to make a difference for safer streets and more peaceful neighbourhoods, communities, and world.
Every act of care and kindness matters
Most people would say they care about what is going on in society, that they are deeply concerned about the levels of violence and crimes, especially youth knife crimes and deaths. However care and kindness is more than just worrying and talking about these atrocities.
Care and kindness means taking action, doing something to contribute. Care and kindness is about giving back. And one of the most needed thing one can do is to enrol as a volunteer for change, to become a visible ‘Beneficial Prescence’ on the streets, in the neighbourhoods, communities , and open spaces of our cities.
I am appealing for New Volunteers to patrol the streets of Bristol. Though not often, we sometimes patrol other areas of the country and even abroad. You can make a difference. Training and high viz jackets are provided. *In certain circumstances and conditions PPP discretionary travel imbursements might apply. (*subject to funds availability)
