BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS

Peacemaking starts within ourselves. We initiate peace with our inner self first. This means coming to terms with who, what and where you are right now.

Throughout much of history, these four elements, love, peace, comfort, and supply has been the cause of unrest, up until today.   But it need not be the end of your story. The truth is that we came into being loaded and coded with peace seeds, love seeds, supply seeds and everything else that makes for our comfortability and wellbeing. The problem arose and continues to permeate society mainly because most people are still ignorant of these facts of life, and so are prone to look for peace, love, comfort and supply, outside of theirSelf.

There is beauty within you. Peace is the code for the soul. There is an abundance to supply every necessity in life. This is the truth of life. We came into this world lacking nothing, The knowledge of want, limitation, excess and greed are not our inherent qualities, although they have been passed down to us through generations of ignorance, masquerading as our birthright and destiny.

“Truth is, we were destined to thrive.  We were created to experience magnificence with every breath and to live from our inbred divinity. That is our true nature.”

Fear, worry, lack, limitation, hate, separation, and suffering are all manmade displacements and effects, to try to trick us into believing that this is all there is to life. The opposite is true, of course, there is no lack nor sorrow, nor unrest of any kind in life. It is our misunderstanding of what life is, that has kept our species in bondage to these inhumane ways of experiencing and expressing ourselves

Somewhere it is written, “The truth shall make you free”.  And so I will say as again as I did at the start,  ‘we must first find that peace for our self, we must find it within ourselves, and there make peace with our self until we become peaceFull.’  Then,  take every opportunity to express it, with the intention to share it with as many, and in as many ways as we can. This is the start of a wonderful journey, that of becoming a Peacemaker.

'Blessed are the Peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God'                        - Scripture

PEACE IN Troubled Times – VIGIL FOR MANCHESTER VICTIMS

Peacemakers with deep compassion for the people of Manchester and their loved ones wherever they are, and for the rest of the UK sends thoughts as prayers throughout. And it is from this place of vigil we pray again the words of our motto ” Let Love, Let Hope, Let Peace Reign, we let it be, and so it is.”

For many, this prayer may seem a complete waste of time, but in our hearts, we feel the love and peace, the only real anchor on which any people or nation can ever hang hope, in the knowing that love never fails. And so, in these times of seeming adversity, we reach in and up to the place of knowing and there find peace. Our prayer is evidence that peace exists in Manchester, and everywhere, despite ongoing news of terror, most assuredly PEACE reigns.                                             -- Her ladyship the Hon Reverend Dawnecia Palmer, Bristol Prayer Patrols

Manchester attack: Theresa May terror threat speech in full

    • From the sectionUK
    Theresa May
Image captionThe prime minister said she did not want the public to feel “unduly alarmed”

Theresa May has raised the UK terror threat level to critical – meaning an attack is expected imminently – after 22 people died and 59 were injured by a suicide bomber in Manchester.

The prime minister made a statement after a meeting of Cobra, the government’s crisis response committee, on Tuesday evening.

Here is her speech in full.

I have just chaired another meeting of Cobra, where we again discussed the callous and cowardly terrorist attack in Manchester last night, and the operational response from the security service, the police and other emergency services.

It remains the case that, other than the terrorist himself, 22 people were killed in the attack. Fifty-nine people remain injured, and many of them have life-threatening conditions.

As Greater Manchester Police confirmed earlier today [Tuesday], the perpetrator was Salman Ramadan Abedi, a 22-year-old who was born and brought up in Britain.

And as the emergency services have confirmed throughout the day, his victims were innocent children, young people and their families.

Our thoughts and prayers are with them all.

I want to reiterate what I said this morning about the professionalism of the emergency services and the bravery of the people of Manchester. Through their actions, they proved that cowardice will always be defeated by bravery, that evil can be overcome by good, and that our values – the liberal, pluralistic values of Britain – will always prevail over the hateful ideology of the terrorists.

In my statement earlier today, I said that the police and security services needed to investigate whether or not Abedi was acting alone. Those investigations continue. But the work undertaken throughout the day has revealed that it is a possibility we cannot ignore that there is a wider group of individuals linked to this attack.

This morning, I said that the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC) – the independent organisation responsible for setting the threat level on the basis of the intelligence available – was keeping the threat level under constant review.

It has now concluded, on the basis of today’s investigations, that the threat level should be increased, for the time being, from severe to critical. This means that their assessment is not only that an attack remains highly likely, but that a further attack may be imminent.

The change in the threat level means that there will be additional resources and support made available to the police as they work to keep us all safe.

As a result of the JTAC’s decision, the police have asked for authorisation from the secretary of state for defence to deploy a number of armed military personnel in support of their armed officers.

This request is part of a well-established plan, known as Operation Temperer, in which both the armed forces and the police officers involved are well-trained and well-prepared to work in this kind of environment. The secretary of state for defence has approved this request, and Operation Temperer is now in force.

This means that armed police officers responsible for duties such as guarding key sites will be replaced by members of the armed forces, which will allow the police to significantly increase the number of armed officers on patrol in key locations.

You might also see military personnel deployed at certain events, such as concerts and sports matches, helping the police to keep the public safe. In all circumstances, members of the armed forces who are deployed in this way will be under the command of police officers.

Precisely how the military and armed police officers will be deployed is an operational decision for police commanders and Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley of the Metropolitan Police will be making a statement giving further details at New Scotland Yard later this evening.

In the coming days and weeks, there will of course be many events hosted up and down the country. The police will work with the organisers and hosts of these events, to come to a judgement about how they can go ahead while making sure the people who attend them are safe and secure.

I do not want the public to feel unduly alarmed. We have faced a serious terrorist threat in our country for many years. And the operational response I have just outlined is a proportionate and sensible response to the threat that our security experts judge we face. I ask everybody to be vigilant, and to cooperate with and support the police as they go about their important work.

I want to end by repeating the important message I gave in my statement earlier today. We will take every measure available to us and provide every additional resource we can to the police and the security services as they work to protect the public.

And while we mourn the victims of last night’s appalling attack, we stand defiant. The spirit of Manchester – and the spirit of Britain – is far mightier than the sick plots of depraved terrorists. That is why the terrorists will never win, and we will prevail.

2017 Prayer Patrols ‘FOOT SOLDIERS’ in Bristol

By the end of April 2017, it is hoped that Peacemakers Prayer Patrols should once again be seen regularly on the streets of Bristol.
However, this will be a brand new way of prayer patrolling the streets, the leader of Peacemakers disclosed.

The revised team of patrollers will meet to pray, discuss and hopefully recruit new patrollers for this new phase of the project which started at the ending of 2002 when street crimes, guns, gangs, and street voience, was at its highest in areas of Bristol, namely the areas of St. Pauls and Easton.

Street crime soon fell significantly, and the Project was awarded by the then Cheif Superintendent Mike Rowe, for their contributions and hands-on involvement, which helped in addressing and reducing much of the gangs and street violence in these areas.  Over the years they continued to be a regular beneficial presence throughout other areas of Bristol and the UK.

In 2010 they launched their highly respected and effective crime-reducing strategy abroad.  And as the areas patrolled in the UK regained stability, the presence of patrollers on the streets became less prominent, although the work continued and increased globally with the installation of their website.

Through this media, Peacemakers successfully extended their reach as an online presence, to bless, encourage, support, inform and provide schools of training, equipping other prayer patrols worldwide.

A kickoff Meetup to discuss the new framework, strategy, dates and the future of Peacemakers Prayer Patrols is due to take place in Cabot Circus, Bristol, at noon,  on Wednesday 26th April. If anyone is interested to know more or wishes to attend this meetup, they are invited to use the contact page on this website, here they can leave their contact details, stating their interest, and someone will get back to them.

      Namaste.

All days are good, and all numbers too, but it so great to live in them when they are in the synchronicity of numbering, as they are today. They become great reminders of the one (1) Power, one as in (1st) First, and One as in an undivided unified field.  The number seven (7) represents perfection.

        Prayer for Today…

I pray on this day, the seventh day, of the first month of the year 2017, that  peoples of the world, of the varying  tribes, nations, languages, social status, political or non-political biases,  would become as One, in The one Power – Love, and that through this wonderful vibration of Love, we may begin to enter a season of Peacemaking treaties with ourselves, each other, and God, in an undivided unified field of blessing on earth, as in heaven. Thus fulfilling the golden prayer of Jesus the Christ “…on earth as it is in Heaven.” Amen.

world-image-quoteIt has been a terrific year to date. There have been many published stories of horrific wars, millions of people were killed, injured, and suffered tremendous losses. But, there have also been much more glorious testimonies, of celebrations, victorious and courageous acts of giving and kindness, amazing stories of gratitude for lives saved, encouragements, personal development and numerous transformative adventures and innovations, the likes of which our planet has never before experienced, and Peacemakers are thankful to have had the opportunity to participate, by offering the global invitation to signup for the 2016 Peacemakers Global Prayer Patrol Mission.

"We are grateful for all who signed up to realize Peacemakers Vision for Global Peace in our world, country by country, one day at a time. It takes courage to hope amidst threats of terrorism.  It takes guts and personal strength and integrity to love the seemingly unlovely and to pray for peace despite ongoing news stories of the climate and economic disasters affecting nations.  Peacemakers are sowing seeds of Hope across nations.

The world needs love. If we must have hope in this world then let this be it, that Peace may reign in each person, starting with us, and to the world, Let there Be peace! Let's do this. Let's do it now. Amen."

Peacemakers Prayer Patrols warming hearts in Fishponds and Easton

          Feedback for Fishponds Patrol

It was good to be out Prayer Patrolling on the streets of Bristol again, especially as we were going to be in Fishponds, an area that we had not prayer patrolled before.  This is a very popular shopping area consisting of the usual Post Office, banks, supermarkets, retail shops and general stores, small local enterprises, schools, churches, bingo hall, public houses, car showrooms, and a thriving convenient bus route into City Centre, train and bus stations.wp_20161022_14_30_17_pro_li

So, it was a big shock to us, as well as for the residents of the Fishponds area, a couple of weeks prior to our patrol, to learn that a young 10-year boy was viciously attacked by thugs as he walked home.  The boy suffered grievous injuries to his head and body after he was beaten up and thrown to the ground, and kicked many times. The thugs then ran off and left him there until a passer-by came along and found him bloodied, lying on the pavement only  a couple of yards away from the main traffic light and pedestrian crossing. [*See Newspaper report on this story at the end of our reports]

wp_20161022_14_36_07_pro_liIt was a bitterly cold Saturday afternoon but we were determined to bring the  warmth of our prayers and goodwill to the streets of Fishponds. We felt that Prayer Patrol would serve as a timely crime prevention tool and a good way to help re-boost morale and confidence on the streets.  It was a very interesting and well-received Patrol.  Several Passersby stopped and engaged at our Prayer Stops, where our two youngest patrollers, ages four and five, along with older members of the team prayed with them. Many people told us that they were moved by the braveness and prayers of the children.  One man was so moved that he ran across the road  to the Bakery and came back laden with cakes for them.

It appears that the incident with the boy was a one off, the perpetrators were caught, and the attack is in no way a reflection of this usually peaceful, contemporary area of Bristol.

Report by Rev palmer, October 2016

Feedback for Easton & Old Market Patrol

It had just started to rain as we headed out for the Easton and Old Market Prayer Patrol, but our spirit was high. It has been a while since we did patrols on this particular route. The streets were exceptionally quiet, perhaps because it had been raining on and off during the afternoon.

Our starting point for the Easton  Patrol was St Marks Churchsugar-loaf which is next door to Sugar the Loaf Pub. The church was closed and not one church member in sight, but the pub was open and three men sat outside having a drink in the drizzling rain. At first, they were intrigued with our high viz jackets and then became even more interested when we told them that we were out Peace-Keeping and blessing the area. The rain continued to fall, becoming heavier as we went along, soon there was no sign of anyone walking the streets, so we decided to take a shortened route back to the base.
3-back-birdsNearing the Three Black Birds Pub we noticed a man standing in the doorway, drinking a beer and enjoying a cigarette.  As we got to him we did our usual greeting and he responded cheerfully and wanted to  engage us in conversation, he also had a prayer request, which we told him we would pray about once we got back to base.  But as we were moving away he called out “Please. Please, Please remember to pray”, it was urgent and we did.

Our final prayer stop was at a newly opened Resturant in the area. The owner welcomed our prayer for his new business, and even offered to feed us, and although the food smelt lovely and the atmosphere inviting but we had to decline his offer as we were still on duty.

This was one of our shortest ever patrols owing to weather conditions, and we finished soaked but greatly inspired.

Peacemakers “FOOT PATOLLERS” are back on the streets of Bristol

          Global Prayer Mission- November

Once again the Peacemakers Team of hopefuls will take to the streets of Bristol, with much enthusiasm and positive determination, that their Prayer Patrols will be a beneficial presence and great upliftment to these communities.

Prayer Patrols started in the then crime-torn area of St. Pauls, Bristol. There were several street gangs and drugs influencing the peaceful neighborhoods then, making it very unsafe to walk about, day or night. Together with the community policing, and the involvement of other community groups and organizations, along with some residents, Prayer Patrols were at the center of providing a valuable, visible  presence in the area.  At one time they were patrolling the streets almost 24 hours per day.  They also opened an office in the area, the Peace Embassy, for concerned residents,  youths, and local groups.

Today, it is a different story, street crime in St. Pauls is at an all time low in terms of street gangs, community violence, or hostilities. WP_20160325_14_32_51_ProThen, the City Council allocated funding to community groups and projects, regenerated the area with new buildings and other neighborhood improvements, in housing, gardens for residents, and parks, etc. The streets are definitely safer these days, we found new communities have moved into the area, and there are quite a few new enterprises dotted around.

Peacemakers, however, are keen to maintain rapport, as a peace agent and a beneficial presence for good, in these areas. So, from October to December 2016, they will be out again rigorously patrolling the streets of Bristol. **See below for areas, dates and times**

Whilst a vast number of the individuals all over the world are  focused on a seemingly problematic  world, Peacemakers Prayer Patrols focus is to bless humanity with prayers and loving thoughts for the upliftment of the entire world, in the awareness that all creation is held in the mind and bosom of Blessedness. And holding this vision, we pray ‘Let Peace Reign’.

WP_20160124_12_59_40_Pro “Our prayers works brilliantly, says Reverend Palmer,  and even though we hear of wars and rumours of wars in the media almost every day, I am absolutely conscious and resilient to a transparent knowing that good prevails, no matter what they say. We have got to hold this vision. And as more and more of us hold the vision of a peaceful universe, vibrating peace through everything and everyone, eventually it will break through the illusions of fear, panic, hatred and greed. The majority of people long for peace, but our leaders make preparations for war, this sends a mixed message to the universe.”

"We pray believing that all is well, because someone has got to see it so. Someone has to raise the bar to high vibrations of inner eye seeing (insight) that all is well on behalf of humanity.
Right now, in time, this may appear to some as a rather simplistic ideology, but is it not better to hope towards the good, than to wallow in the the aftermath of what has been, the destructions and fragmentations of dashed dreams?
I think that it is high season to awaken to a call to service, to pray peace and abundant blessing for all of humanity.
We need to begin to see as God sees, faithfully sending sunshine and rain upon the just and the unjust alike, and so we too must arise as conscious rain through our peace-full thoughts upon this pleading earth, until there is peace, respect and safety for all.
For the sake of mankind and the future of our planet, I let it be, and in faith proclaims, and so it is"
