PEACEMAKERS Goodwill Prayer in response to KILL THE BILL PROTEST Volience & Unrest

Thousands gather in Bristol for 'Kill the Bill' protest over police powers planPEACEMAKERS Prayer Chief speaks out in the aftermath of the violence and unrest following a peaceful Kill The Bill Protest that had been planned for Bristol. In her letter below sent to various media as well as the police, she calls for peace and a halt to violence, criminality, and disruption to peaceful communities. She is hoping that her prayerful intervention will create a wave and air of peace bringing some level of peaceful understanding, especially in the light of further protest planned for the coming weekend. Police are advising people not to gather.

Peacemakers have been successfully working behind the scenes for street safety with Virgil, Patrols, Marches, and Awareness Campaigns in Bristol since 2002 when violence was rife in St Pauls and Easton area.  They were also part of winning the City  Purple Flag status, which helps to attract a greater number of visitors into the city center at night and hopefully reduces negative perceptions about Bristol’s city center.

Reverend Palmer is asking for people to join with her and her team in praying for peace. “If you do not already pray or even know how to pray, then you can use the words of the prayer on our site.” **See below.

"God usually uses the foolish things of this world to create mighty changes,  sometimes it may take a little while to see the difference, but it usually comes through good in the end." - Rev. Dr. Dawnecia Palmer OBA AFP

To whom it may concern

Whilst we cannot undo or wish away the violence, criminality, misbehavior, and mishandling of the recent Protests on both sides of the law here in Bristol; neither should we be complacent and silent.

I for one do not condone or excuse the use of violence on persons nor the destruction and damage to property.

It is a sad day for Bristol and for the years of hard gruff between parties, communities, and the police, to build a level of trust and civility.

My prayer today is for peace and order to return, for a new way of communicating and listening. For openness, peaceful protests,  and freedom of speech, to be handled with higher levels of competency and conscious awareness.

I pray the Spirit of Peace over the citizens,  constituency, and constabulary of Bristol. May order return. May violence and fear find no place to hide or grow here. May those with the tendency to destroy and cause harm be found out, arrested, handled fairly and charged accordingly. Then, may the Presence of the ALL GOOD grace our city, releasing it from the shadows of thuggery and violence. Let fairness, equity, justice, and respect for life, and property, be the order of Bristol. This is my Prayer. Amen.

PRAYER: ONE@ONE

PEACEMAKERS PRAYER PATROLS and CITY SAFETY PATROLERS invite you to join with them for a ‘CLEANSING THE ATMOSPHERE, HEALING THE HURTING and BLESSING THE LAND’ PRAYER CIRCLE, Wednesday 1st July 2020, 1.00 pm in EASTVILLE PARK, Bristol, BS5

Eastville Park

I am certain that you will agree that as a people, a city, a nation, country, and indeed the whole world, that our atmosphere and land, has been severely affected and disrupted by the COVID pandemic, and the brutal murder of George Floyd by a Police Officer in the US. The 8 minutes 46-seconds video of his sufferings and death was devastating, stirring outrage against racial injustice, which sparked mass marches, demonstrations, and protests in support of the CALL for racial justice worldwide. The PEACEMAKERS Prayer Circle on 1st July will generate a spiritual atmospheric charge to shift and renew, healing for health, justice for fairness, and a sense of protection and safety for everyone locally, nationally, and globally.

Are you willing to be ONE who helps to make a difference for your city, and for the George Floyds of our world? Are you ready to be involved in something that will create a vibration that sets in motion the sort of climate change we need, such as healing after the pandemic, fairness in the judicial, educational, and political systems Nationally and Globally? Will you be a part of the CALL for safer streets where EVERYONE feels safe and protected? Please help us pray a better, fairer, just world

Guardians of the Planet

“This is a WAKE-UP CALL and NOW is the Time for us to arise to action,” says the Reverend Dawnecaia Palmer, Peacemakers Prayer Chief Commissioner. “The pandemic, the ingrained racial injustice and inequality, has caused fear, suffering, death, and financial distress for many. Enough is ENOUGH. PEACEMAKERS will now rise up as guardians of our planet to pray the cures, the healings, and the TRANSFORMATION we so desperately need for our Atmosphere and Land at this time. Conscious prayer is the antidote. Consious Prayers are fervent prayers. Scriptures says ‘the fervent prayer of ONE produces much.’ There is a grave amount of people that are hurting in our world today. They need our prayer support. In fact, all people need prayer.

Today, I stand as ONE, and I am inviting you all to take up your positions as ONE with me, in this endeavour to recalibrate our world. To such a vision I announce WE CAN. I declare WE SHALL. I decree WE WILL. Amen”

PEACEMAKERS NOVEMBER 2019 MEETUP

PEACEMAKERS Meetup on 22nd November took place in the Galleries over lunch at Chopstix Resturant, in Broadmead Shopping Quarter, Bristol.

Chopstix serves up an exciting menu of oriental street food – from the sweet and smooth to the hot, spicy, zesty and zingy.

The team and PPP Commissioner looked back over 2019 and discussed plans for 2020. Plans included updating the PEACEMAKERS Vision, Objectives, Patroling strategies, plus new and exciting initiatives for the UK and further afield.  These will be made available to view on the Peacemakers Prayer Patrol website in January 2020.

Bristol Bonfire Night Prayer Patrols

Peacemakers Prayer Patrollers were visibly present in the Broadmead Shopping Quarter of Bristol on Bonfire Night, the patrollers wore high-viz jackets certain helped to light up the night in more ways than one, as a beneficial presence of blessing and as well as a deterrent to ward off wayward behaviors.   There were other visible peacekeeping organizations on the ground too, the Police, local PCSOs, Fire, and Ambulance Services. Prayer Patrols applied the Peacemakers Operation Presence ‘ABC’ pre-empt idea on the night.  Image result for bonfire night bristolSecured Bonfire Night Displays took place safely in many areas of the City, this gave children and vulnerable individuals the opportunity to participate in an environment of protection with a sense of safety.

In the past, Bristol has had bad experiences on Bonfire Night which involved small pockets of individuals taking advantage of the celebrations, setting off fireworks in an unsafe fashion, some even hurling lighted fireworks into shopping areas, and worst throwing them towards individuals as they walked on the pavements.

Testimony

Thankfully, this year Bristol had less serious incidents reports. The Patrols reported merriment with a peaceful atmosphere in the Broadmead Shopping Quarter, Castle Park and surrounding areas.  During the patrol through the town, a young man stopped the patrollers to ask what they were about. The man was in a very depressed mood and after he shared the story of his difficulties he asked them to pray for him, that things would change for him in the near future. The team prayed and encouraged him. His countenance changed drastically as he thanked them, he said he was feeling much better as if a ton was lifted from him.

Awareness, Blessing and Community Safety

Peacemakers advised parents to take the initial responsibility to advise their youths who were planning to go out in groups, not to take fireworks with them, not to partake in pranks which involved hurling fireworks at people or parked cars. In fact, they advised that it is best that people, especially young people, should not carry fireworks with them, it is an illegal offense that carries heavy fines and in some cases court sentences. But most importantly Peacemakers warn of the danger that could happen to others, the risk of injuries which in past caused major injuries such as loss of limbs, shock, and trauma, where individuals have been known to suffer for many years afterward.

Peacemakers Commissioner Rev Dr.Dawnecia Palmer warns "..... one small irresponsible action with fireworks on Bonfire nights could ruin a person's life for years or even forever in some cases."

Peacemakers also advise people to report any illegal activities that they are aware of and that they can do so by contacting either Crimestoppers or the Police.

CrimeStoppers is a charity which provides a service that is unique and designed to protect people’s identity, whether they call their free number 0800 555111 or submit information through   https://crimestoppers-uk.org/give-information/give- information-online/     It is important to note that Crimestoppers is NOT part of the police, they guarantee 100% anonymity.  They take information about crime, about criminals and pass it to the police and have never compromised anyone’s anonymity.  They cannot take reports of crime as obviously they couldn’t keep the person reporting anonymous. CrimeStoppers doesn’t record anything about the reporter/only the information passed on.

You can find some information about their service the Partnerships tab of this website or you may prefer to go directly to CrimeStoppers’ own website at  www.crimestoppers-uk.org  there you will have full access to all their information and the sort of help they provide.  However, PEACEMAKERS advise that in all cases of serious crimes and real Emergencies, that you contact the Police straightaway and directly by dialing 999.

PEACEMAKERS 2018 End of Year Message

As we approach the last few days of 2018 what lessons have been learnt? And are we any wiser going forward? Because if we haven’t learnt Life lessons and are none the wiser, we might very well find that instead of going forward, we are even further back than where we were, when the year begun.

In order to move forward, we must rid ourselves of these 3 things – Worry, Want, War.

Worry not – because we cease to be in the now – we have forgotten what we are.

Want not – because we haven’t yet learned that all is as should be – we have forgotten whose we are.

War not – because hate, fear, anger, guilt and pain consume, consummate and separate – we have forgotten who they are.

So as 2018 fades into history, let us be mindful of the follies that separatism brings,  disasters and wars. Wars within, and those without,  of personal, societal and country. Gross consumerism, materialism, maltreatment of the ozone through greed and political tyranny, gluttony and competitiveness increase the illusion of not-enoughness, and the incessant vacuum of discontent.  And so, we fill our world with fears and stress and worry. Worry, the no.1 killer and not only does it kill personal joy, but it holds nations in terror, blocks out the light of camaraderie and trust for humanity, and in fear they subscribe to war.

Prayer " How good to know that God Is, Peace, Constant Supply, Blessed Assurance. How pleasant also to know that our life is the the life of God, and that, that Life lives and moves us all. It is good, it is very good. And standing on the final step of 2018 we delcare, war no more, I AM my supply, both now and always. Amen, amen, amen."

The PEACEMAKERS Prayer Patrols teams are as rays of light, bringing hope and uplifting communities in the areas they Patrol.  If you are interested in joining or creating a team in your area please do get in touch with us through the Contact Us page.

Namaste and Blessings.
